Assessor Skill Set – Workplace Trainer or Corporate
This skill set provides the necessary skills and knowledge for people to conduct assessment and operate without supervision in the vocational education and training (VET) sector, in accordance with the Standards for RTOs.

Delivery Methods
Online – Self-Paced delivery
This program is designed for vocationally qualified industry or coporate workers who have been asked to, or are intending to, assess a VET program within their workplace. The online program is recommended for offisite workers in remote or regional locations, or those who simply cannot attend face to face training. If you possess a high degree of self-direction and self-sufficiency, this learning option may be suitable for you.

Online – Virtual Classroom
This program is designed for vocationally qualified industry or corporate workers who have been asked to, or are intending to, assessor a VET program within their workplace. The virtual classroom is recommended for participants who are looking to undertake study with there peers and, or those who simply cannot attend face to face training. If you want to work with other like minded particpant in a group environment.

Course Requirements
Entry Requirements
You must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in your proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
Recognition of Prior Learning
You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer (CT) if you have supporting evidence of any prior education and work experience. These options can reduce your study load or shorten the duration of your course. For more information, please refer to the RPL and Credit Transfer Policy on our Support page.
Assessment Requirements
You will be required to complete both knowledge-based and practical assessments. These may include question and answer sessions, written reports, presentations, projects, and demonstrations either in the workplace or a simulated environment. Additionally, online students may need to submit videos as evidence of their practical skills application.

How much time per week should I be studying?
We recommend between 3 – 5 hours per week dependent upon study. This recommendation varies based on the experience level of each participant.
Will this Skill Set allow me to assess vocational training on the job?
Yes, completion of this Skill Set will allow you to assess on the job training, however please check with your workplace regarding any addtional requirements.
Can I complete this course part-time while working full-time?
Yes, our course is designed to accommodate part-time study, allowing flexibility for those working full-time.
Is this all I need to do to be able to assess in a VET course?
In additon to this Skill Set you will need to be able to demonstrate your vocational competency and skill to faciliate the VET qualification. Each organisation will provide you with the requirments that they need.
